boomerang

Fascinated by a piece of wood thrown away
That came sliding back to his extended palm
The child jumped with joy and ran around
Dad pats his silky hair, both smiles, walks away.

Mom just warns him not to get hurt
But the boomerang flies inside the house.
A few lights break, child gets scared,
Dad pats his silky hair, wipes the tears
Well. Anyways, it is a boomerang.

Fear instills fear, love replaces with warmth
Remember, the ones that cannot be taken back
Are returned once before you forget
With care and swift, without thinking
What goes around comes back around, certainly
Like the boomerang!
